“Hybrid cars are hot, but not as hot as their owners, who complain that their gas mileage hasn’t come close to well-advertised estimates.”

So says this artice at Wired News.

The problem appears to be with the EPA mileage estimate tests. Hybrids usually get better gas mileage than conventional cars, but they often fall far short of their EPA gas mileage estimates.
